12 July 1959: his grandfather Nakamura Tokiz˘ III died.

April 1960: he made his first appearance on stage, at the Kabukiza, where he received the name of Nakamura Baishi III and played in the dramas "Komochi Yamanba" and "Imoseyama Onna Teikin".

28 January 1962: his father Nakamura Tokiz˘ IV died.

October 1971: Baishi changed his yag˘ from Harimaya to Yorozuya in a special program at the Kabukiza commemorating the 12th anniversary (13th memorial service) of the passing away of his grandfather Nakamura Tokiz˘ III.

April 1977: revival at the Meijiza of Katsu Genz˘ II's drama "Kimi-wa-Fune Nami no Uwajima"; Baishi played the role of Kariya [casting].

June 1981: great shűmei at the Kabukiza for the Yorozuya guild; Nakamura Yonekichi IV, Nakamura Baishi III, Nakamura Mitsuteru and Ogawa Mikihiro respectively took the names of Nakamura Karoku V, Nakamura Tokiz˘ V, Nakamura Kash˘ III and Nakamura Shid˘ II.
