KABUKI & LEATHER

Timberland is going Japanese with a new selection of leather goods inspired by the dramatic costumes and makeup used in Kabuki. Timberland asked Patrick Ryan of Yab-Yum and charismatic 23-year-old Kabuki actor Nakamura Kantarô to help design the boots and jackets of this Kabuki line of goods.

A bit of humor to end this page with the comment from pheasantplucker (a poster on the site Japan Today): "I asked my local shoe store when they would get them in, and the guy said "Shibaraku".
