Yoshizawa Goroichi I
 

The actor Yoshizawa Ayame IV held the name of Yoshizawa Goroichi I from the 11th lunar month of 1744 to the 10th lunar month of 1753, then a second time from the 11th lunar month of 1754 to the 10th lunar month of 1764.

Born in 1768. Disciple of Yoshizawa Ayame IV, he received the name of Yoshizawa Kichijûrô and started his career in Edo, where he performed as a wakaonnagata. He took the name of Yoshizawa Goroichi II in the 11th lunar month of 1782 in Edo. He went to Kamigata with his master in Fall 1787. His rank in the 1792 Ôsaka hyôbanki, wakaonnagata was jô-jô (superior - superior) [visual]. He was recorded as living in Ôsaka in the district of Kurôemon-chô. He was specialized in koshimoto or nyôbô roles, excelling in sewamono dramas. No stage record afterwards. He died the 6th day of the 7th lunar month of 1795 [1].
