Dates of birth and death unknown. A jitsuaku/katakiyaku actor named Bandô Kumajûrô was active in Edo in 1861. Relationship to the Bandô Clan unknown. Premiere in the 5th lunar month of 1861 at the Moritaza of Kawatake Shinshichi II's drama "Ryu to Mimasu Takane no Kumokiri"; Hakuen played the roles of Satô Bunzaemon and the Ômiya tedai Kankurô [casting]. His rank in the 1862 hyôbanki, jitsuaku/katakiyaku section, was two black strokes above jô-jô-(shiro)kichi (superior - superior - (white) excellent) [visual]. No record afterwards. |
