Nakamura Gennosuke  In Japanese
 

Born in 1666. Brother of Nakamura Gentarô and disciple of Nakamura Shichisaburô I, He made a short career in Edo, performing as a supporting wakaonnagata actor, from the end of the 1700s to the middle of the 1710s. He never really achieved fame for himself and died the 24th of the 4th lunar month of 1716 [1].

Nakamura Gennosuke I
 

The actor Mimasu Daigorô IV held the name of Nakamura Gennosuke I from the 11th lunar month of 1820 to the 10th lunar month of 1822.

The actor Mimasu Daigorô V held the name of Nakamura Gennosuke II from the 11th lunar month of 1846 to Summer 1850.

The actor Ichikawa Kôjaku IV held the name of Nakamura Gennosuke from 1892 to April 1893. He was never acknowledged as an official holder of the name.

[1] The 24th day of the 4th lunar month of the 6th year of the Shôtoku era was the 13th of June 1716 in the western calendar.
