Dates of birth and death unknown. Kasane Izutsu Tôjûrô was the son of Sawamura Chôjûrô I and the elder brother of Sawamura Chôjûrô II.
He did not hold the name of Sawamura Tôjûrô and there was absolutely no record of any performance on Kabuki stages.
Nevertheless, he was considered as being Sawamura Tôjûrô I. |
