The yagô Takinoya was created by the actor Ichikawa Monnosuke II. It came from the village of Takinogawa, near Edo, where the actor was born in 1743. Takinoya was used mostly by actors of the Ichikawa Monnosuke and Ichikawa Omezô lines. Takinoya is the guild name of the following contemporary actors: |
