The yagô Tennôjiya was created by the star Nakamura Tomijûrô I. It came from the Tennôji temple in Ôsaka. This yagô was also used by the Yamashita clan (the Yamashita Kinsaku and Yamashita Mangiku lines of actors) from Yamashita Kinsaku II.
