The actor Nakamura Tomosa II held this name from 1st lunar month of 1831 to the 3rd lunar month of 1861.

Dates of birth and death unknown. This actor started his career in Kamigata, as a disciple of Nakamura Tomosa II performing under the name of Nakamura Tomota in miyaji shibai or hama shibai. He took the names of Nakamura Ganshô in 1862 and Nakamura Tomosa III in the 8th lunar month of 1864 at the Kado no Shibai. His last recorded performance was in 1884 at the Kado no Shibai. We don't know what happens to him afterwards for he disappeared from the records. He followed in the footsteps of his master, playing mostly handôgataki roles but did not become as popular as Nakamura Tomosa II.
