Dates of birth and death unknown. Disciple of Nagawa Shimesuke I, he received the name of Nagawa Towasuke I and worked in hama shibai. He worked for a while for the actor Onoe Shinshichi II. He took in the 11th lunar month of 1816 the name of Nagawa Shimesuke II in Ky˘to at the Kitagawa no Shibai. He took the name of Nagawa Chikuy˘ I in the same theater in the 8th lunar month of 1818. He was active up to 1825. No record afterwards. He was the master of Nagawa Shimesuke III, Nagawa Chikuy˘ II, Nagawa Towasuke II, Nagawa Haruz˘, Nagawa T˘kichi, Nagawa Yűsuke, Nagawa Sh˘suke, Nagawa Ichisuke, Nagawa Ichiosuke, Nagawa Gogosuke, Nagawa Raisaku, Nagawa Senshi, Nagawa Tomisuke and Nagawa Toshisuke.

Dates of birth and death unknown. This minor sakusha was a disciple of Nagawa Chikuy˘ I and he was active in ďsaka for a short period of time during the second half of the Bunsei era.
