The kaomise drama "Sakiwake Shôhon Kagami" was produced in the 11th lunar month of 1756 in Ôsaka at the Naka no Shibai by Todoki Kikumatsu. The opening day was the 6th day of the 11th lunar month of the 6th year of the Hôreki era, which was the 27th of December 1756 in the western calendar. It celebrated the shûmei of Asao Tamejûrô I. The drama was mixing characters and story elements coming from "Shin Usuyuki Monogatari", "Genpei Nunobiki no Taki", "Goto Sanba" and "Sôma Tarô". "Sakiwake Shôhon Kagami" was staged with the following casting:
