Dates of birth and death unknown. Son of Takeshima Kôzaemon II, his first stage name was Takeshima Kôtarô. His first recorded performance was in the 11th lunar month of 1721, when he performed in Ôsaka at the Naka no Shibai as a wakashugata in the kaomise drama "Onna Genji Musha Sugoroku", which was produced by his father. He became zamoto, took the name of Takeshima Kôzaemon III in the 11th lunar month of 1728 and produced at the Naka no Shibai the kaomise drama "Kimi Okuni Ôshimadai". He disappeared from the records from 1729. He most likely died young. |

Dates of birth and death unknown. Relationship to the Takeshima clan unknown. His first stage name was Takeshima Heitarô. He became a disciple of Nakamura Jûzô I and was trained as a katakiyaku, performing under the name of Nakamura Jûbê. He took the name of Takeshima Kôzaemon IV in the 12th lunar month of 1761, in Kyôto at the Kitagawa no Shibai, playing the role of Danjô in the kaomise drama "Karanishiki Miyako no Hinagata". He joined a travelling troupe in 1762 and disappeared from the Kabuki ôshibai world. |
