Born in 1853. Adopted by the actor Ichikawa Monnosuke V, he received the name of Ichikawa Seikichi and was trained as a wakaonnagata actor. He took the name of Ichikawa Metora I in the 3rd lunar month of 1865 and was active in Edo/Tôkyô for 14 years. He died in Tôkyô the 8th of May 1879. |
