The actor Ichikawa Kôdanji held the name of Ichikawa Beishô in January and 2nd lunar month of 1869 but he was never acknowledged as an official name-holder.

Ichikawa Beishô I
 

The actor Nakamura Jusaburô III held the name of Ichikawa Beishô I from the 8th lunar month of 1866 to the 12th lunar month of 1870.

Born the 2nd of June 1891 in Tôkyô. Son of Ichikawa Kodanji V, he made his debut on stage (hatsubutai) in June 1895 at the Meijiza, where he received the name of Ichikawa Shachimaru I. He took the name of Ichikawa Yonezô V in May 1912 at the Meijiza, playing the role of Wada Shizuma in the drama "Igagoe Dôchû Sugoroku". He finally took the name of Ichikawa Beishô II in January 1920 at the Ichimuraza and held it up to his death the 15th of November 1921. He was an onnagata/nimaime actor and excelled in nyôbô or toshima roles. He was also the father of Ichikawa Nedanji II.
