Bandô Muraemon I

Dates of birth and death unknown. he started his career as a disciple of the Kamigata actor Onoe Tamizô II, who gave him the name of Onoe Tamisaburô. He joined the actor Nakamura Tomijûrô II at unknown times and changed his name to Nakamura Kikujûrô. He settled in Edo at unknown times and became a disciple of Ichimura Uzaemon XIII, who gave him the name of Bandô Muraemon I. He was active in Edo up to the middle of the 1860s.

Bandô Muraemon II

Born in Yokohama the 1st of December 1883. He started his career in 1888, performing under the name of Bandô Hideo. He became disciple of Kataoka Ichizô III in 1901 and received the name of Kataoka Ichikatsu. His master died the 11th of December 1906 and he had to join the Ichimura clan, becoming a disciple of Ichimura Uzaemon XV in January 1912, when he took the name of Bandô Muraemon II at the Kabukiza. He was active up to the year of his death in 1938. He died the 14th of March 1938. This supporting actor was said to excel in bantô roles in sewamono dramas.
