History

1963: opening of the Nissay Theatre in the district of Yurakuchô, Chiyoda-ku (Tôkyô).

January 1964: revival at the Nissay Theatre of Tsuruya Nanboku IV's spectacular drama "Kin no Zai Sarushima Dairi", which is produced by Takechi Tetsuji and staged with the following casting:

Tawara no Tôta Hidesato Kataoka Nizaemon XIII
The kôshitsu Nyogetsuni Onoe Taganojô III
Taira no Masakado's sister Princess Nanaaya Sawamura Yoshijirô IV
The boatman Kinzô Tonegawa Kinjûrô

The roles of the priest Hakuunbô and Kokuunbô are played by the kyôgenshi Shigeyama Shime and Shigeyama Sennojô.
