Dates of birth and death unknown. He was recorded for the first time in the 7th lunar month of 1707, when he performed in Kyôto in the drama "Sesshû Nunobiki no Taki", which was produced by Sakakiyama Koshirô I at Kameya Kumenojô's theater. He performed in the 1st lunar month of 1709 in Kyôto in Hoteiya Umenojô in the new year drama "Itsukushima Hime-ga-Taki", which was produced by Sakakiyama Shirotarô I. He went to Edo in Fall 1709 and he performed at the Ichimuraza as a dôkegata in the kaomise drama "Genpuku Nue Yorimasa". His rank in the 1710 Edo hyôbanki (3rd lunar month of 1710), dôkegata section, was naka (literally 'middle'). No record afterwards. He was said to be the master of Ogurayama Hyakusuke II.

Date of birth unknown. Disciple of Ogurayama Hyakusuke I, he was recorded for the first time in the 11th lunar month of 1717, several years after the death of his master, when he performed under the name of Ogurayama Hyakusuke II in Kyôto in Sakakiyama Kansuke I's kaomise drama "Ômu Gaeshi Momotose Gitsune", which was produced by Sakakiyama Shirotarô I at Hayagumo Chôdayû's theater. He settled in Ôsaka in the 2nd lunar month of 1726, became dôkegata, took the name of Hayakawa Denkurô and played at the Naka no Shibai the role of Kyôya Kitarô in Chikamatsu Monzaemon's drama "Butsumo Mayasan Kaichô". He went back to Kyôto and played in the 2nd lunar month of 1728 the role of Tawara Tsuchiemon in the drama "Man'yô no Hana Nishiki no Akebono", which was produced by Kanazawa Hikogorô. The, he went to Ôsaka in the 2nd lunar month of 1729 to perform in the kaomise drama "Wakatake Ôshimadai", which was produced by Takeshima Kôzaemon III. He went back to Kyôto in Fall 1730. He performed in the 11th lunar month of 1730 in Kyôto at Kameya Kumenojô's theater in the kaomise drama "Eiraku Shiki no Kogane", which was produced by Sakakiyama Shirotarô I. In the 5th lunar month of 1732, he performed as a dôkegata in Nagoya at the Nishi no Koji Shibai. He went back to Kyôto in Fall 1733, took back the name of Ogurayama Hyakusuke II and performed in the 12th lunar month of 1733 in the drama "Yoritomo Kamakura Jikki", which was produced by Sakakiyama Shirotarô I at Kameya Kumenojô's theater. He played in the 11th lunar month of 1747 in Kyôto at the Minamigawa no Shibai the role of Sakurai Ôkura in the kaomise drama "Meiken Kogane Zukuri", which was produced by Nakamura Kumetarô I. His rank in the Kyôto hyôbanki, dôkegata section, was jô-jô (superior - superior) [visual]. No stage record afterwards but he worked in Kyôto as a tôdori for a few years. He died in Kyôto the 12th day of the 11th lunar month of 1756 [1]. He was the father of Ogurayama Sentarô (later Nakamura Jûzô II).
