Fall 1697: Shigemaki and Matsumoto Hyôzô went together to Edo.

11th lunar month of 1697: Shigemaki became wakaonnagata at the Yamamuraza.

6th lunar month of 1699: Shigemaki played at the Yamamuraza the role of Ayame-no-Naishi in the drama "Isshin Onna Narukami".

End of 1703 (?): Shigemaki went back to Ôsaka.

1st lunar month of 1704: Shigemaki played in Ôsaka in the new year drama "Azuma Mondô", which was produced by Kataoka Nizaemon I.

2nd lunar month of 1704: Shigemaki's rank in the Ôsaka hyôbanki, wakaonnagata section, was (superior) [visual].

Fall 1707: Shigemaki went to Kyôto.

11th lunar month of 1707: Shigemaki played at Hayagumo Chôdayû's theater in the kaomise drama "Ohiyaki Sannin Musume".

1st lunar month of 1708: Shigemaki's rank in the Kyôto hyôbanki, wakaonnagata section, was jô-(shiro)jô (superior - (white) superior) [visual].

1709: long tour in the provinces of Mino and Ômi.

Fall 1710: Shigemaki was back to Kyôto.

11th lunar month of 1710: Shigemaki performed at Kameya Kumenojô's theater in the kaomise drama "Kenkon Daikoku Bashira".

3rd lunar month of 1711: Shigemaki's rank in the Kyôto hyôbanki, wakaonnagata section, was jô-jô (superior - superior) [visual].

1st lunar month of 1713: Shigemaki went to Edo and performed at the Yamamuraza. His rank in the Edo hyôbanki, wakaonnagata section, was jô-jô (superior - superior) [visual].

11th lunar month of 1713: Shigemaki performed at the Yamamuraza in the kaomise drama "Sazare Ishi Nasu no Futahashira".

2nd lunar month of 1714: Shigemaki's rank in the Edo hyôbanki, wakaonnagata section, was jô-jô-(shiro)kichi (superior - superior - (white) excellent) [visual].

Fall 1715: Shigemaki went to Kyôto.

11th lunar month of 1715: Shigemaki played at Hoteiya Umenojô's theater the role of Ohatsu in the kaomise drama "Manpô Chitose no Matsu", which was produced by Yamatoya Jinbê III and included a kôjô commemorating the sudden death of Kataoka Nizaemon I.

1st lunar month of 1716: Shigemaki's rank in the Kyôto hyôbanki, wakaonnagata section, was jô-jô-kichi (superior - superior - excellent) [visual].

11th lunar month of 1716: Shigemaki played in Kyôto at Hoteiya Umenojô's theater the role of Wakamatsu in the kaomise drama "Daikoku Tenjin Fukuju Musume", which was produced by Yamatoya Jinbê III.

1st lunar month of 1717: Shigemaki's rank in the Kyôto hyôbanki, wakaonnagata section, slightly fell to jô-jô-(shiro)kichi (superior - superior - (white) excellent).

11th lunar month of 1717: Shigemaki played in Kyôto the role of the keisei Toyoura in the kaomise drama "Genjôraku Biwa no Ôumi", which was produced by Yamatoyama Jinzaemon I in Ebisuya Kichirôbê's theater.

1st lunar month of 1718: Shigemaki's rank in the Kyôto hyôbanki, wakaonnagata section, fell to jô-jô-(shiro)hankichi (superior - superior - (white) half excellent).

Fall 1718: Shigemaki went back to Ôsaka.

11th lunar month of 1718: Shigemaki achieved a great success at the Ônishi no Shibai by playing the role of Okyô in the kaomise drama "Suehiro Chôja Bandaigura", which was produced by Sawamura Chôjûrô I and celebrated the shûmei of Sugiyama Kanzaemon III.

1st lunar month of 1719: Shigemaki's rank in the Ôsaka hyôbanki, wakaonnagata section, was jô-jô-(shiro)hankichi (superior - superior - (white) half excellent) [visual].

12th lunar month of 1719: Shigemaki went to Kyôto.

11th lunar month of 1720: Shigemaki became zamoto and coproduced with Sodesaki Wakaura I in Kyôto the kaomise drama "Shin Yakata Fukutoku no Kado".

11th lunar month of 1721: Shigemaki coproduced with Wakaura Kinjûrô in Kyôto at Hayagumo Chôdayû's theater the kaomise drama "Fuji Asama Taiheiraku".

1st lunar month of 1723: Shigemaki appeared on stage for the last time, playing in Kyôto at Daikokuya Takenojô's theater the role of the keisei Ôyodo in the new year drama "Keisei Hitomaruzuka" which was produced by Otowa Jirosaburô I. Then, he retired from the Kabuki world. The year of his death was unknown.

Comments:

Matsumoto Shigemaki was a wakaonnagata, who made his career from 1697 to 1723. He excelled in onna budô, shittogoto, housewives and keisei roles. He opened an incense shop after retirement.
