The actor Anegawa Kiyosaburô held the name of Anegawa Chiyosaburô I from the 11th lunar month of 1725 to the 11th lunar month of 1737.

Dates of birth and death unknown. Disciple of Sanogawa Mangiku, his first stage name was Sanogawa Wakamatsu. He was active in Kamigata during the 1750s and the 1760s. He joined the Anegawa clan (as a disciple of Anegawa Daikichi I?) at the beginning of 1770 and took the name of Anegawa Chiyosaburô II in the 2nd lunar month of 1770 at the Minamigawa no Shibai, where he played the roles of Tôzô's wife Misaho and Fujiya Ofusa in the ni-no-kawari drama "Keisei Sato no Jinmaku", which was produced by Mimasu Tokujirô I. He became zamoto in Kyôto and produced in the 11th lunar month of 1772 at the Kitagawa no Shibai in the kaomise drama "Shiraume Genji Kuruwa no Hachinoki". He made his last stage appearance in the 2nd lunar month of 1773 in Kyôto, where he produced in the same theater the classic "Kanadehon Chûshingura", in which he played the role of Kaoyo Gozen. Anegawa Chiyosaburô II was a good onnagata actor, excelling in keisei roles. His last rank in the 1773 Kyôto hyôbanki, wakaonnagata section, was jô-jô (superior - superior) [visual].
