History

Tsuruya Nanboku IV's natsu kyôgen "Soga Nakamura Aki no Torikomi" was premiered in the 8th lunar month of 1826 [2] at the Nakamuraza [casting]. This new year drama mixed several sekai, mixing the main elements from the world of the Soga Brothers (sogamono) with elements coming from the stories of Ten'ichibô and Koina/Hanbê (koina-hanbêmono).

[1] The others sakusha working for Tsuruya Nanboku IV were Mimasuya Nisôji, Katsui Genpachi, Nakamura Jûsuke IV, Shinoda Kinji II, Izutsu Yasuke, Matsui Hanji, Matsuchi Shôkichi, Sakai Otosuke and Masuyama Keizô.

[2] The opening day was the 12th day of the 8th lunar month of the 9th year of the Bunsei era, which was the 13th of September 1826 in the western calendar.
