October 1953: Sawamura Kuninosuke takes the name of Sawamura Tokiya.
August 1955: Tokiya becomes disciple of Morita Kan'ya XIV,
who gives him the name of Bandô Moriwaka I.
July 1967: Bandô Moriwaka I becomes nadai and takes the name of Bandô Kashû at the Kabukiza,
playing in the drama "Toyoshiga no Shi".
September 1979: he becomes disciple of the onnagata actor
Sawamura Tôjûrô II, who gives him the name of Sawamura Tôsha;
he plays a bonze role at the Kabukiza in the dance "Meoto Dôjôji".
