The actor Yamamura Tomoemon I held this name from 1787 to the 6th lunar month of 1804.

Dates of birth and death unknown. Disciple of Yamamura Tomoemon I, his first stage name was Yamamura Kuniz˘ and he was trained in Kamigata as a katakiyaku. He became a disciple of Band˘ Jűtar˘ and changed his name to Band˘ Kuniz˘ in the 11th lunar month of 1799. He took the name of Band˘ Kunigor˘ III in 1804 and held it for a few years before switching back to Yamamura Kuniz˘ after a quarrel with his master. He finally took the name of Yamamura Tomoemon II in 1815 (according to the Ritsumeikan University Actors Database) or 1830 (according to the "Kabuki Jinmei Jiten"). He most likely died during the middle of the Tenp˘ era.
