Some items in this program are staged in memory of late Matsumoto Hakuô; his son Matsumoto Kôshirô plays the roles of the warrior Kumagai Jirô Naozane and Ii Naosuke in the dramas "Kumagai Jin'ya" and "Ii Tairô". The two others highlights in this October program are Kawatake Mokuami masterpieces "Miyakodori Nagare no Shiranami" and "Naozamurai", starring Onoe Kikugorô in both for the leading role. His stage partner in "Naozamurai" in the role of the courtesan Michitose is Nakamura Tokizô. Kataoka Nizaemon playing the role of the warrior Saitô Bettô Sanemori in "Sanemori Monogatari" should also be a great moment of Kabuki. |
