Dates of birth and death unknown. Disciple of Ichikawa Saruz˘ II, he received the name of Ichikawa Koyone around 1870. He became a disciple of Sawamura Tanosuke III in 1875 and received the name of Sawamura Kikunosuke. He joined Sawamura Kunitar˘ III in 1881 and received the name of Sawamura Kit˘. From 1883 to 1889, he was at the service of Nakamura Jusabur˘ III, who gave him the name of Nakamura Hisashi. He took back the name of Sawamura Kit˘ in May 1889 in T˘ky˘ at the Azumaza. He was active up to 1923. No record afterwards. Was he a victim of the Kant˘ Earthquake, which destroyed T˘ky˘ the 1st of September 1923? We don't know. His yag˘ when he was named Nakamura Hisashi was Wakamatsuya.
