Disciple of Shibazaki Rinzaemon I, he received the name of Shibazaki Kikuemon
and performed as a katakiyaku in the 11th lunar month of 1707
in Kyôto in the kaomise drama "Ohiyaki Sannin Musume".
He went to Ôsaka in Fall 1709 with his master and played the role of Sukefude Godayû in the kaomise drama "Chigo Daimyô Kyô Miyage",
which was produced by Sakakiyama Shirotarô I.
He performed in the 11th lunar month of 1714 in Ôsaka in the kaomise drama "Bandai-ga-Ike no Tsurukame",
which was produced by Arashi Sanjûrô I at Shioya Kuroemon's theater.
No stage record afterwards. His rank in the 1715 Ôsaka hyôbanki, katakiyaku section, was (shiro)jô (white superior) [visual].
