Born the 30th of September 1948 in the Kyôto Prefecture. His father was Nakamura Tomijûrô IV and his mother was the daughter of Nakamura Ganjirô I.
He started his career in January 1954, at the Ôsaka Kabukiza,
where he received the name of Nakamura Eijirô and played a child role in "Mômoku Monogatari".
He took the name of Nakamura Kikaku I (Kikaku was a haimyô of Nakamura Ganjirô I) in September 1972 at the Kabukiza,
where he performed in the dance "Ayatsuri Sanbasô" and the drama "Godairiki".
He appeared on stage for the last time in February 1994 at the Kabukiza, where he played in "Kagatobi" and "Debauchi Otama".
He accidentally died in Kyôto the 20 March of 1994. He was a promising actor, able to perform a wide range of supporting male or female roles,
who unfortunately died before reaching the peak of his career.
