Comments:

Hayakawa Denshirô was an Edo tachiyaku actor from 1714 to 1741 and a sakusha from 1736 to 1749. As an actor, he was good in jitsugoto and budôgoto. His performances as a jitsuaku were also positively appreciated by the Edo audience. As a sakusha, he was equally equally at home in the creation of sewamono and jidaimono dramas. He wrote also the lyrics of a few Nagauta-based dance-dramas [4].
