Dates of birth and death unknown. He was recorded for the first time in the 11th lunar month of 1749, when he worked at the Nakamuraza on the kaomise drama "Onnô Taiheiki". In the 11th lunar month of 1753, he worked at the Moritaza, along with Tsuuchi Eishi I and Namiki Ryôsuke, on the kaomise drama "Masakado Kokyô no Nishiki", which celebrated the shûmei of Suketakaya Takasuke I and Ichikawa Sôzaburô II. 11th lunar month of 1757, he worked at the Nakamuraza on the kaomise drama "Onna Musha Kaijin Yashima". In the 11th lunar month of 1762, he worked at the Ichimuraza, along with Tsuuchi Jihê III, Sawai Chûzô and Tsuuchi Denjûrô II, on the kaomise drama "Kisoe Uta Sakae Komachi", which celebrated the shûmei of Ichimura Uzaemon IX and Ôtani Hiroji III. In the 11th lunar month of 1769, he worked at the Moritaza, along with Nakamura Jûsuke II, Sei Hidesuke, Minonaka Saiji and Kimura Yaichi, on the kaomise drama "Na ni Takashi Kumoi no Yumihari", which welcomed in Edo the actors Yamashita Kinsaku II and Kasaya Matakurô II (who also celebrated his shûmei) and celebrated the shûmei of Nakamura Shirogorô IV. In 11th lunar month of 1770, he worked at the Moritaza, along with Nakamura Jûsuke II, Sei Hidesuke, Minonaka Saiji and Sawai Chûzô, on the kaomise drama "Miyako Zome Giô Katsugi", which welcomed in Edo the Kamigata actors Nakamura Tomijûrô I and Nakamura Noshio I. In the 11th lunar month of 1771, he worked at the Moritaza, along with Horikoshi Saiyô, Ogi Batai, Nakamura Seikurô II, Sawai Chûzô, Sei Hidezô and Sei Basetsu, on the kaomise drama "Fukikaete Tsuki no Yoshiwara", which welcomes in Edo the Kamigata actor Nakamura Jûzô II. In the 11th lunar month of 1773, he worked worked at the Ichimuraza, along with Nakamura Jûsuke II, Sei Basetsu and Sei Hidezô, on the kaomise drama "Kaeri Kiso Kigoto no Hatsumono", which celebrated the shûmei of Ichikawa Danzô IV. In the 11th lunar month of 1774, he worked at the Ichimuraza, along with Nakamura Jûsuke II, Horikoshi Saiyô, Okuno Sasuke, Ôkoshi Shûzô and Okuno Eiji, on the kaomise drama "Chigo Sakura Jûsangane", which celebrated the shûmei of Segawa Kikunojô III. In the 8th lunar month of 1779, he worked at the Ichimuraza, along with Nakamura Raisuke and Tsutsui Hanji, on the drama "Shin Usuyuki Monogatari", which starred Onoe Kikugorô I, Sawamura Sôjûrô III, Segawa Kikunojô III, Yamashita Kinsaku II, Ichimura Uzaemon IX, Bandô Hikosaburô III, Ôtani Hiroji III, Sakata Hangorô II, Nakamura Sukegorô II and Sawamura Shirogorô I. No record afterwards.
