Ichikawa Ichiz˘ IV
 

Born in ďsaka in the district of Kita-Horie the 15th of the 10th lunar month of 1868. He started his career in 1877 as a disciple of the actor Band˘ Jusabur˘ II, who gave him the name of Band˘ H˘saku. He became nadai in 1886 and took the name of Ichikawa Ichiz˘ IV in November 1889 at the Kadoza. He died in ďsaka the 1st of August 1944. He was an important supporting tachiyaku actor, who regularly performed in the troupes led by Nakamura Ganjir˘ I. Some of his best roles were Magoemon ("Shinjű Ten no Amijima"), Tanbaya Hachiemon ("Fűin Giri") or Nuregami Ch˘gor˘ ("Futatsu Ch˘ch˘ Kuruwa Nikki").
