Before 1696: disciple of Sakata Tôjûrô I, his first stage name was Sakata Takenojô and he performed in Kyôto as a wakaonnagata.

1696: he became katakiyaku and took the name of Mikasa Jôemon.

1st lunar month of 1699: premiere at Miyako Mandayû's theater of Chikamatsu Monzaemon's drama "Keisei Hotoke no Hara", which was produced by Sakata Tôjûrô I; Jôemon played the role of Umenaga Tatewaki [casting]. This was a huge success.

1st lunar month of 1700: Jôemon played in Kyôto the role of Hakata Gekinojô in Chikamatsu Monzaemon's drama "Keisei Guzei no Fune", which was produced by Sakata Tôjûrô I.

1st lunar month of 1701: Jôemon played in Kyôto at Miyako Mandayû's theater the roles of Kitashirakawa Tankai and Ban'emon in the dramas "Onzoshi Hatsutora Mairi" and "Keisei Fuji Miru Sato", which were produced by Kokon Shinzaemon.

3rd lunar month of 1701: Jôemon's rank in the Kyôto hyôbanki, tachiyaku section, was jô-jô (superior - superior) [visual].

1st lunar month of 1702: premiere in Kyôto at Miyako Mandayû's theater of Chikamatsu Monzaemon's drama "Keisei Mibu Dainenbutsu", which was produced by Kokon Shinzaemon; Jôemon played the roles of Kaguya Nuinojô and the false Tamiya [more details].

7th lunar month of 1702: premiere in Kyôto at Miyako Mandayû's theater of Chikamatsu Monzaemon's drama "Mibu Aki no Nenbutsu", a follow-up of "Keisei Mibu Dainenbutsu", which was produced by Kokon Shinzaemon; Jôemon played the role of Uraemon [more details].

1st lunar month of 1703: Jôemon played in Kyôto at Miyako Mandayû's theater the role of Ôkake Kurando in the new year ni-no-kawari drama "Keisei Takaradera".

1st lunar month of 1704: Jôemon played in Kyôto at Miyako Mandayû's theater the role of the yoban Tokubê in the new year ni-no-kawari drama "Keisei Shirayama Zenjô".

1st lunar month of 1705: Jôemon played in Kyôto at Miyako Mandayû's theater the role of the tedai Kanbê in Chikamatsu Monzaemon's new year drama "Keisei Kogane no Yodogoi".

1st lunar month of 1706: Jôemon played in Kyôto at Miyako Mandayû's theater the role of the evil Matsuzakiya tedai in the new year ni-no-kawari drama "Keisei An'yô Sekai".

Fall 1706: Jôemon settled in Ôsaka.

11th lunar month of 1706: Jôemon became tachiyaku and played in Ôsaka the role of Kyôjûrô in the kaomise drama "Shinpan Honma Kyôgen", which was produced by Iwai Hanshirô II.

3rd lunar month of 1707: Jôemon's rank in the Ôsaka hyôbanki, tachiyaku section, was (superior) [visual].

11th lunar month of 1708: Jôemon played the role of the karô Kashiwagi Tatewaki in Ôsaka in the kaomise drama "Tate Eboshi Daijin Bashira", which was produced by Arashi Sanjûrô I.

11th lunar month of 1709: Jôemon performed in Ôsaka at Shioya Kuroemon's theater in the kaomise "Inari Chôja Kokonotsu Kogura", which was produced by Iwai Hanshirô II.

11th lunar month of 1710: Jôemon performed in Ôsaka in the kaomise drama "Shinzome Hinagata Chôja", which was produced by Arashi San'emon III.

1st lunar month of 1711: Jôemon was recorded for the last time in Ôsaka, where he performed in the new year drama "Onna Shôjô".

3rd lunar month of 1711: Jôemon's rank in the Ôsaka hyôbanki, tachiyaku section, was jô-jô (superior - superior) [visual]. No record afterwards.

Comments:

Mikasa Jôemon was a promising actor, who was active in Kyôto from the 1690s to 1706 and in Ôsaka from 1706 to 1711. He was a katakiyaku in Kyôto and a tachiyaku in Ôsaka. He was well-received as a villain.
