Dates of birth and death unknown. Disciple of Ichikawa Danjűr˘ V, his first stage name was Ichikawa Tatsuz˘. He became a disciple of Matsumoto K˘shir˘ IV in 1777 and received the name of Matsumoto Shichiz˘ at the Nakamuraza in the 11th lunar month of 1777. This minor wakaonnagata actor, who was active in Edo up to 1789, as never acknowledged as a legitimate holder of this name.
