5th lunar month of 1732: disciple of Tsuuchi Kuheiji I, he received the name of Tsuuchi Raisuke and worked in Ôsaka at the Naka no Shibai on the drama "Kashû Naisuke-ga-Fuchi", which was produced by Iwai Hanshirô III.

11th lunar month of 1732: Raisuke worked at the Naka no Shibai on the kaomise drama "Shikishima Wakô no Tsuzumi", which was produced by Iwai Hanshirô III.

11th lunar month of 1733: Raisuke worked at the Naka no Shibai the kaomise drama "Genji Rokujûjô", which was produced by Iwai Hanshirô III.

11th lunar month of 1734: Raisuke worked at the Naka no Shibai on the kaomise drama "Honchô Bugaku no Hajimari", which was produced by Iwai Hanshirô III.

4th lunar month of 1735: he became a disciple of Namiki Sôsuke and worked in the same theater on the drama "Tsu-no-Kuni Motomezuka".

11th lunar month of 1735: he took the name of Matsuya Raisuke I and worked at the Ônishi no Shibai on the kaomise drama "Momijigari Nishiki no Yomeiri", which was produced by Nakamura Jûzô I.

11th lunar month of 1737: Raisuke worked at the Naka no Shibai on the kaomise drama "Fukakusa-no-In Sannô no Maki".

11th lunar month of 1738: Raisuke became tatesakusha and worked in Ôsaka on the kaomise drama "Sanpukutsui Kogane no Ichigura", which was produced by Nakamura Jûzô I.

11th lunar month of 1740: Raisuke worked at the Kado no Shibai on the kaomise drama "Hanaikusa Nishiki no Manmaku", which was produced by Nakamura Jûzô I.

12th lunar month of 1740: Raisuke worked [1] in the same theater on the drama "Katakiuchi Deguchi no Yanagi".

12th lunar month of 1741: Raisuke worked [2] at the Naka no Shibai on the drama "Ima Ori Daikanjima", which was produced by Anegawa Shinshirô I.

11th lunar month of 1742: Raisuke worked at the Ônishi no Shibai on the kaomise drama "Kudô Suketsune Ôiso Gayoi", which was produced by Nakamura Jûzô I.

11th lunar month of 1744: Raisuke worked [1] at the Ônishi no Shibai on the kaomise drama "Azuma Soga Fujimi no Sato", which was produced by Nakamura Jûzô I.

2nd lunar month of 1747: he took the name of Matsuya Kyûemon and worked [2] at the Naka no Shibai on the drama "Ishibashiyama Yoroi Zakura".

3rd lunar month of 1748: he took back the name of Matsuya Raisuke I and worked [3] in Ôsaka at the Naka no Shibai on the drama "Tôkaidô Kosute Ume", which was produced by Ichikawa Ryûzô.

11th lunar month of 1750: Raisuke went to Kyôto and worked on the kaomise drama "Kaikei Wagô Hanayakata", which was produced by Miyako Handayû.

6th lunar month of 1751: Raisuke worked in the same theater on the drama "Katakiuchi Deguchi no Yanagi" [4]. No record afterwards.

Comments:

Matsuya Raisuke I was a Kamigata sakusha, who was active from the first half of the 1730s to the beginning of the 1750s. He worked on more than 40 dramas. Belonging to a family of actors, his first name Raisuke was also used by 6 actors of the Nakayama clan (Nakayama Raisuke).
