    34th edition of Ichikawa Ennosuke's summer program at the Kabukiza ... without Ichikawa Ennosuke (on sick leave). 2 of his most talented disciples perform big roles: Ichikawa Danjirô plays the role of the priest Seigen in the drama "Sakura Hime Azuma Bunshô" (in duo with Bandô Tamasaburô in the role of Princess Sakura) and Ichikawa Ukon plays the roles of Satô Tadanobu and the fox Genkurô in the drama "Shi-no-Kiri" (including a chûnori).

    Educational program at the National Theatre called Kabuki Kanshô Kyôshitu ("Kabuki Appreciation Class"). This is a very interesting formula for the beginners because there is lively presentation of Kabuki (or some aspects of the art like music, stage tricks or fighting scenes) on stage, followed by the Chikamatsu Monzaemon's "Domo Mata".
