I would like to thank very much all the friends who helped me building this site. We've decided that if would be a good idea to end this 2020 year with a new simple 'no fancy' graphical chart for our website.
Happy new year of the ushi (ox) 2021. We hope that the 3rd year of the Reiwa era
will be the year of the shûmei of Ichikawa Danjûrô XIII, which should have happened in 2020 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 crisis.
A thought for Living National Treasure Sakata Tôjûrô, the stage giant of the Shôwa/Heisei era, who passed away in 2020
after an almost 80-year long career spent on Kabuki stages and many decades dedicated to promote/help/save Kamigata Kabuki.
Bandô Mitsugorô III performing in the ushi section of the 12-role dance-drama "Yosete Mitsu Mata-mo Jûnishi"
which was staged in the 3rd month of 1814 at the Nakamuraza
